Intoxication...

In my days and my nights,
and from the dawn to the dusk;
In my past and the present,
and in every bit of my essence;
Your fragrance I inhale by which
my smile enhance.

In the right and the wrong,
and in the rhymes and the songs;
In the stories and the poetries,
and in my mind and my heartbeat;
Your presence follow me everywhere
like the shadow in the scorching heat.

How can one separate us?
When you have dissolved in me
like the deadly venom.
The more they try the more venom spreads.
How can one distant us?
When its not our body but
our souls entangled.
The more they separate us,
the more tangled gets our soul's threads.

In every thought that I think
and the air that I breathe.
I feel you within me and also around,
intoxicating and giving me
the immense passion that seethe

  1. First of all, I am so delighted to read a new poem from you after such a long time and I have to say it was worth the wait. :)

    Intoxication is a perfect word to describe this poem. The emotions involved are so pure and beautiful, they aren't intoxicated at all. I have a few favorite verses from the poem but can't seem to single out my most favorite, love them all. :)

    Welcome back, Sonia. Please write more often. I know this is coming from a guy who himself doesn't write so often but still please don't make your fans wait for this long for your next post. :D

      Yes, it was a long gap, indeed.. Your words have encouraged me completely now. So I will definitely try to write more often ;)
      And thanks for continuously reminding me to write a new post. I think only because of you and Saru Di's motivation I am able to write something new :)

  16. Wonderful piece of writing Sonia! Lovely flow of the words and reflecting pain, I guess, you wrote this while keeping your mother in mind. Correct me if I am wrong. When your writing is evolving, I dont think that giving so much gap is justified. Keep on writing, keep on posting beautiful post.

    Keep rocking!

  17. Hey Thanks a lot Mithlash. No not my mother but since a long time I wanted to write something on Meera's feelings for lord Krishna. Every time I wrote I could never justice it. This poem is the outcome of that. I hope someday I will be able to write something more convincing and which as more depth in it. :)
